Tueday AM Roadie + BIG Favor
Time: 7am
Start: Park parking lot at Orcutt and Tank Farm Rd.
Route: Lopez Lake and back
The BIG favor. One, it's just about the distance for my Escape from Alcatraz race on Sunday and I need all the motivation I can get. And two, we're putting together a commercial spot for a client for use during the Amgen Tour of California to air on Versus and we need 2-3 seconds of a few cyclists in the countryside. Our videographer will be out on the route grabbing some footage of us. We need 3-4 cyclists (including myself) for the shot. If any of you guys are available for this I would really appreciate it - this is the final shot we need to wrap up the project.
Please comment to RSVP.

Sat morning roadie - Three Route Options
Come one come all!!!!!!!!!
We have really been enjoying getting into a regular routine on these Saturday morning roadies and have been encourage by a handful of guys jumping in. The two or three route concept really works well as a fit to anyone at any level and affords everyone the opportunity of great hang time with the guys while out there on the bike. I know first hand there are a few of you talking about jumping in but have not yet, get out there with us, we would love to have you.
Here's the route for this Saturday:
We'll meet at Grace Church downtown, 7:00am
We'll head south on Higuera and out to Port San Luis.
Turn around option 1 is to come straight back from there.
For those who stay on, we will head back over the freeway to climb "the knob".
This is option two for turn around from there.
Then for those who want to make it hurt, we'll go back up the knob from the other side and back out the front.
Weather is supposed to be good. Get out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to see you.

Saturday 7:30 a.m. start @ Tennis Warehouse
We're starting from 7:30 am from Tennis Warehouse at 181 Suburban in SLO (near Trader Joes and OneSource office but further down Suburban). This is for SATURDAY.
Proposed Route: Thinking we head up to 41 and down the Grade. Many points to peel off and turn back.
I liked doing Turri in reverse last week. Let's try that again.
Note: I'm 50/50. Family in town.
Please comment to RSVP.

Golden Ride
While on the road for business last week, Torque and I were able to squeeze in a sneeker ride that just about killed us! We were in his old stomping grounds and connected with Frederic, his buddy who lives in the city close to the GG Bridge. We set out in the dark with lights on and road over the bridge, up the coast and after a few core shocking climbs, ended up around the Mt. Tam area. This ride had some incredible scenery/views through the coastal hills of Marin. We then looped back around to views of the Bay on the way back and competed a ~36 mile mtb ride with the day ahead of us. Great ride/experience I will not forget! (Both the pleasure and the pain)
Thanks for making it happen Torque and thanks for hosting Frederic!

Where: O'Briens in LO
Time: 5:30am
Route: Through the ranch to MDO, one up and down, then back to the Ranch.
Figure this to be a 2 1/2 hour ride.....? I know there are a few of us in for this one so far.
I hear there is a second ride forming to hit Madonna for the time crunched as well. Post it boys!
Hope you all had a great Easter.......
Time to get on the bike and shed all that sugar!

Lopez fun
We had a great ride out at Lopez this morning.
We discovered that the word "Theule" means "Rabbit" in Dutch. Its in the blood.
We learned that "The Future" is now! Tyler Obrien, my goodness. That young man is gifted.....watch out.
We learned that we have really missed Lance being out on the trail with us. Love that guy. Makes the ride another notch better just having him there, without fail.
We learned that Lance and Crash are IBF's
We learned that Rabbit fears his life (literally) when on the bike.
We learned that Torque is a freak of nature....wait we all knew that already.
We learned that Hobbit has a lot in common with "Sleepy Smurf"
We learned that the deer at Lopez are incredibly fearless. I think Torque was 15 feet away from one in a staring contest.
We learned that we are so fortunate to live in this beautiful place.
Looking forward to the next ride.......good times!
