Play Fair!
Do you remember when playing games as a kid there was always another kid who owned the game and would viciously stop and scrap the game if you did not play it exactly as he or she wanted? Dude! Germany is just that kid! Condemn the riding community in light of the cheats - what an example... See the following
German tour canceled over doping furor
By VeloNews.com

The avalanche of positive drug tests has buried the 2009 Tour of Germany.
The organizers and the German cycling federation (BDR) announced Thursday that they were canceling the nine-day event due to the recent spate of doping positives.
“We regret this decision, but it had to be taken," said race organizer Kai Rapp.
Linus Gerdemann (Columbia) won the 2008 edition. The 2009 race had been scheduled for August 29-September 6. On Tuesday, organizers of the Tour of Stuttgart canceled their six-day event, saying recent failed doping tests have tarnished the sport's image in Germany.
"We have held intense discussions over the last few days and decided at the conclusion not to organize the 26th edition of the competition given the current situation in cycling," organizer Andreas Kroll told the German agency SID. "Professional cycling has an enormous image problem at the moment which we can't currently change.”
The race had been scheduled for January 15-20 in the south German city. Agence France Presse contributed to this report.

Lights
I am thinking about jumping into the "lighted riding" scene. Any recommendations from the OneSource team? Light and Motion vs. NiteRider.... How many lumens are needed for good road riding vision. May be out in the early am soon.
Thanks

We may have the opportunity to ride from Future's house (off LOVR) over the range right into MDO. There are a couple of landowners who may let us link up to MDO through their property. To be confirmed.

Friday, September 19th MTB
When:Friday, September 19th
Type:Mountain
Time: 5:30
Where: Marsh parking lot of Madonna
Details: I think we will have a few riders from Art's joining us as a few of us are starting to train for the 24 hr. race coming up on November 1st and 2nd. This may be a bit of organized chaos depending who shows up and when. It will be fun to have a bunch of riders on the mountain.
I have heard Scott talk about doing laps around the ring in 17:50. Sounds like a challenge.
I am thinking we may head up to Shooters around 7:30ish as we may have a longer rope on Friday's than mid-week.
Bottomline: Come out to Madonna on Friday morning and have some fun on those fat tires.
