Wed AM Ride

It is true, I will sport the official kit for a maiden voyage Wed. Am.  Coach Chad has agreed to a late start at 6am.  We will meet at Highland and Hwy 1.  Route will be out coast, up Old Creek, right on Santa Rita Creek road, this turns to dirt after about 3 miles, it climbs a great canyon. Will go hard up the climb to the top.  Down the backside into Templeton is also dirt so be careful on the descent.  Once you get down the initial downhill can bomb into West Templeton.  Will wind up to Vineyard rd.  Cross 101 to Templeton road on the other side of the river.  Will tempo the rollers to Atascadero, then catch El Camino Real.  Will go through Santa Margarita and down the Grade.  One of my absolute favorite rides with all kind of terrain and the full beauty of the Central Coast. As Chad said about 65 miles should take around 3:30 hrs.  Speaking of nicknames my official name from the group of fellow docs I ride with is "Jens"  any ideas?

You guys are doomed when somebody has been dubbed "Jens".

Jens Voigt I presume!!!

Give them a little Jens treatment at the front. Certainly one of my favorite riders. Never say die attitude when he rides always...

Enjoy the ride.

You've got it Jeff!!!

Jens Voigt the superdomestique who rides with CSC and also happens to ride a Cervelo R3.

The domestique who sacrifices everything for his team leader.

Sacrifice, Pain, and Glory.... the beauty and essence of bicycle racing.
