Last Sunday - June 29, 2008 - we had an epic ride up Madonna. I should say we had 10 epic rides up Madonna. This 10KOM non-event was the underground of mountain biking at its best. I don't think it could ever be as good and fun as it was. The unofficial count was about 40 riders started with 10-20 mixing in throughout the day. Laps were between 29 and 45 minutes on average. Finish times were between 5 and 8 hours for those that pushed through for all 10. We were thankful for no crashes, a beautiful day, and only a few flats and chain breaks between all the riders. The callouts go as follows: Levi for doing all 10 on his 33+ lb Enduro, Skippy for making church somewhere between laps 6 and 8...and then coming back to finish all 10, Coach for hammering all 10 after a whole lot of convincing to get him there, Coach's family for showing up sub 7:00am and enduring the day, and for Jen (Coach's wife) for here 3KOM, and finally for Tim - birthday boy - who showed up around 6:40ish to take the following pictures. Thanks to all for a great nonevent.

And a big call out to Torque for smashing the competition.....averaging under 30 min per lap. Im pretty sure there was a lap or two under that 29 mark (Can you say 24!) Nice work Torque.
A very fun "non-event" indeed!
