You need to read the short diaries by Will Frischkorn of team Garmin. He is a great rider and writer (hmmm). Enjoy his posts on Velonews. It really paints the picture of the speed and technical nature of the tour. Simply read the idea of rolling at 60 kph bar to bar in the group! Also, check out the power they are having to shell out even in the confines of the Gruppetto... Amazing that Will even has the energy to write these great articles. Lets see how short the posts get in the high mountains.
