WHEN: SUNDAY, JUNE 29, 2008
WHERE: MARSH ST. TRAILHEAD, MADONNA MOUNTAIN
WHAT TIME: 7:00 AM
WHAT IT IS: THIS IS A CHALLENGE TO TRY TO CLIMB 10,000 VERTICAL FEET IN OUR OWN BACKYARD. THE CHALLENGE IS TO CLIMB FROM THE PARKING LOT TO THE STAGE AT THE TOP AND BACK 10 TIMES. THE COMPLETED CHALLENGE WILL CONSIST OF ABOUT 22 MILES OF CLIMBING AND 22 MILES OF DECENDING.
WHAT TO BRING: GOOD LEGS, GOOD ATTITUDE, ENOUGH FOOD AND DRINK TO SUPPORT YOURSELF, A BIKE WORTHY OF THE CHALLENGE (WITH GOOD BRAKE PADS), AND WHATEVER YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE BEST YOU CAN.
A BBQ WILL BE HELD AFTER THE CHALLENGE AT THE SHOP AT ABOUT 4:30, WE WILL CELEBRATE THE CHALLENGE AND WILL BE BIDDING OUR FRIEND JON RICHERT FAREWELL AND GOOD LUCK FOR HIS TWO YEAR JOURNEY TO ECUADOR.
P.S. A COMEMORATIVE T-SHIRT WILL BE GIVEN OUT TO THE FIRST 20 PEOPLE READY TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE ON SUNDAY MORNING.
