Yes, the Wolfeman rode as well with his neighbor Larry. Larry had to drop off his kid for the trip to Caltalina (Jr High Symphpony 3 AM). And with a time crunch with a noon affair, we decided to drive to Cayucos and do the Hwy 1, Cambria, Santa Rosa Creek, Old Creek loop. Left at 9 AM.
Of couse when you leave that late there is wind. Where was Tom Bonnen when we needed him? The day ...spectacular. As we turned on SR Creek the ride up the canyon was getting pretty warm. Larry said "Why does anyone ride up 46 when this is so beautiful?"
Then, the road steepened...you know what I'm talking about....and there came a headwind. At this point I asked is the headwind good or bad? It was cooling us, but was also pushing us backwards. Larry's question was answered or Not?
Getting pretty brown in those hills. As we crossed 46 the traffic increased an so did our speed.
A little late for that noon appt.
