So Crash and I got hall passes from our wives to ride today (Thank you ladies!) and went out at 5:30 this morning. We did perfumo, down See Cyn, into Pismo, then looped through Price Cyn over to the 227 and back home to SLO. Total of 36 miles. Original route was to go out to Lopez, but due to time constraints(Flat at top of See Cyn didnt help) we took Price.
It was a great ride and a beautiful morning the Lord hath blessed us with.
Crash rode well and informed me he can count the number of morning rides he has done on one hand! Fish out of water with this group, but hopefully that will change as he is a teacher and will be out for summer soon. We hope to see him in the OneSource stream more often.
Favorite parts of the ride:
1. Scenery at top of Perfumo Cyn.....what a beautiful morning!
2. Using Crash's "Micropump" to inflate my tire after flat. I think that was a better workout than the ride itself.
3. Time of good fellowship with Crash
4. Just being on the bike
5. Snake sighting. I was in lead and was pointing out the obstruction to crash(not sure what it was) and it turned out to be a snake! Freaked me out...luckily it was dead.

Gotta love that micropump. We're headed out for a 50-mile ride at 2:00. I"ll have to get in shape to keep up with you die-hards.
