Time Logged: 10:00pm to 1:00am
Riding Time: 2+ hours
What: 3K of Madonna
Details: Great ride under the orange moon. Great to have Iceman as his schedule does not often permit him to do the morning rides. He did not know the total plan until it was revealed halfway up the first 1K. Despite the slight grumbling, he had no problem cranking out 3 ups from Marsh to the platform of Madonna. We were bummed to lose Levi halfway up the second up. His back was ailing him badly. We had a great prayer time over the city before saying goodbye and then Iceman and I beat each other up the rest of the second up. We took it easy, somewhat, up the third up. All the descents seemed very fast...yes, too fast...for a night ride. Our blood was pumping for sure.
Highlights: 80 degrees at 10PM, getting a good deposit really early in the weekend, riding through downtown SLO at 1:00am Saturday morning, lights working reasonably well, not being rushed to get to work, to home, or wherever, the thought of sleeping in on Saturday morning ....but that didn't really happen.
A little birdie revealed Coach was surfing somewhere undisclosed in Santa Barbara. Pictures or at least a post will indemnify you, Coach. Looking forward to you joining us for the next evening ride.
We are eagerly awaiting the 10KOM. Correct me if I am mistaken but current commits include Levi, Coach, Iceman, Skippy, and Hobbit.
